with encapsulated numbness
in my chest
comprehension, a maturing redwood
moment by moment by moment
creeping further into dead space
observing universe accurately
solution for this corroded soul
nonexistence is existence
crushed under the existential pressure that proves to be innate
peering beyond the infinite darkness
an arm reaches out
a light grip on the index
black vacuum compensation
thorn behind eyes
aging gnaws the time
spitting an image similar to myself
lost inside an abandoned mine
slips into the muscle breach
euphoria willows the front lines
bright blue pipe inside my voice
death feasting upon my luscious life
I felt it ferment
I felt it in my brain
I felt myself die
I felt life drain
deceased since birth
never content with life
only at the conclusion
is when everything’s alright.

"Sometimes, I can see you in the shadows;
I can hear you in the echoes, I can feel you in the darkness.
Sometimes, I can see you in the mirror;
I can see you in my own eyes
and it scares me to think that somewhere… somehow…
you’re not breathing, and I miss you.
And I will never be alone when I still see you in my dreams.”
this is beyond mediocrity, this is reality.
this is beyond apathy, this is giving up.

John Coltrane | Alabama (Live)
John Coltranes “Alabama” is one of the foremost examples of the “fire music” era of hard bop- a scathing ode to the injustices committed against human beings during the protests in Birmingham, Alabama 1963. Listening to this song in a modern context, while relating to the incident taking place in Ferguson, shows how powerful the piece still is some 50 years later.
Standing alongside musical contemporaries like Don Cherry, Archie Shepp, Sun Ra, Charles Mingus, Jacke Mclean and so on, Black American Music artist John Coltrane spoke out against the police state by creating some of the most powerful and complex music of all time.
Carpe Diem - Seize The Day - Make Your Lives Extraordinary.
"Because, believe it or not, each and every one of us in this room is one day going to stop breathing, turn cold, and die."
RIP Robin Williams, O Captain My Captain.
